Beverly Naya

Beverly Naya is a British-Nigerian filmmaker, producer and cultural storyteller whose work explores identity, beauty and self-worth. Born in London to Nigerian parents, she relocated to Lagos in 2011, building a successful acting career in major productions including 2 Weeks in Lagos and The Wedding Party — one of the highest-grossing Nigerian films of all time.

In 2019 she produced and directed Skin, the critically acclaimed Netflix documentary that sparked global conversations around colourism and identity — a shift from performance to purpose-driven storytelling.

She is the founder of The Skin Summit, a platform centred on identity, ownership and self-worth for Black women. A Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 honouree, now based in New York, she continues to build across film, live experiences and digital platforms.
